Colorful DIY Maas Building Wedding

When Helen and Josh reached out to me about their wedding, they made it clear how important it was for them to have a fun, laid-back celebration with their closest friends and family. They picked the Maas Building as their wedding venue because it had that vibe that was perfect for them and their vision. They had simple decor because with a space as beautiful as this, you don’t need anything else!

First look at The Maas Building

We started the day off right, with Helen and Josh having a first look in the cobblestone courtyard of The Maas Building in Philadelphia. The light was perfect, and Josh was loving seeing Helen in her dress for the first time. During this time I love to take a step back and allow couples to have a moment to take it all in.

Colorful portraits in Philly

Right around the corner, we found the most fun and colorful murals for portraits of the couple before their ceremony. It made for a fun photo walk with them, and we captured so many cute moments.

Wedding party portraits in the courtyard

I’m calling Lemon the color of summer this year! I adored these bridesmaids’ dresses that represented the style of each of Helen’s bridesmaids and her sister. The groomsmen looked great, too, of course.

Intimate ceremony

There were so many smiles and happy tears at Helen and Josh’s intimate ceremony. The rain drizzles down outside as they exchange their vows, and the sun comes out just in time for the rest of their wedding day celebrations!

If you are a fun-loving couple getting married at the Maas Building and looking for a photographer to capture your special day in a sweet, candid, and unobtrusive way, I’d love to chat!

Vendors for this wedding were Angela Gaspar Photography, Philly DIY and Di Brunos Catering.
