Surprise Wedding at Middle Child Clubhouse / Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Julia and Alex’s friends and family mean the world to them, and they knew they wanted to celebrate their marriage with them. They also knew that they wanted something different for their wedding. They wanted it to be a meaningful and fun celebration, but not something that felt like they had a timeline of events to follow. That’s why they decided to do a surprise wedding at Middle Child Clubhouse in Fishtown!

The family was in on the plans, so they hid in the backroom as Julia and Alex arrived with their friends. The guests were told it was an engagement party and were enjoying mingling before Julia and Alex made the big announcement that everyone was actually there for their wedding! The family emerged from the room. Alex put on a jacket, Julia put on a veil, picked up her bouquet, and the ceremony began. Everyone was so beyond surprised and happy.

A wedding that is pure documentary photography was a dream for me as a photographer. Being there to capture so many moments some would never see means that everyone can relive the day as they look at my photos over the years and that means the world to me.
