Best Proposal Locations in Philadelphia
As a Philadelphia proposal photographer, I have seen so many beautiful locations to pop the question. Whether you are looking for city views or a private location for your Philadelphia proposal I have gathered the perfect list for you.
For a private luxury experience, look no further than a proposal at The W Hotel terrace in Philadelphia
For the ultimate view, a proposal at The W Hotel rooftop terrace in Philadelphia is magical. I’ve photographed many proposals here and can say it is a fantastic experience. This space needs to be reserved through the hotel, and 2025 pricing starts at $2000. I’d be happy to send you their current packages and give you contact info for their events manager. Additionally, you can hire a florist to decorate the space, and I can highly recommend florists.
Cira Green Rooftop Proposal
A rooftop park with sweeping city views, greenery, and plenty of open space — it feels like a hidden gem in the middle of Philadelphia. It’s perfect if you want skyline photos with a mix of nature and modern city vibes.
It’s a public space, so expect some foot traffic, especially on weekends or in nice weather. The wind can pick up (I’ve had a proposal there on a breezy day!), so keep that in mind if you’re planning flowers, signs, or decor. They also do a lot of events, which are listed on their website.
Restaurant Proposal Philadelphia Royal Boucherie
Another great idea for a more intimate idea is renting a space for a restaurant proposal. One of my favorite cozy spots in Royal Boucherie in Old City.
Proposal at Magic Gardens
How very Philly is a Magic Gardens proposal. Philly is known for its unique murals, and this space is dedicated to the art of mosaics. You can propose during normal hours or pay to have the space just for you for a small permit fee.
Race Street Pier Proposal
For a perfect view of the Ben Franklin Bridge, you can’t beat a proposal at Race Street Pier. After the proposal, we can walk around Old City for engagement photos and maybe even grab a glass of champagne.
Proposal at The Gazebo at FDR Park
FDR Park is such a hidden gem of a location for a proposal and I love this stone gazebo that is right on the water!
Bartrams Garden Outdoor Proposal
If your future fiance loves nature, then Bartrams Garden could be a perfect spot for an outdoor proposal in Philadelphia.
Longwood Gardens Proposals
This is such a popular location for proposals and for good reason! It’s so romantic to say yes surrounded by gorgeous flowering plants and trees. Currently photography is not allowed but starting March 1st 2025 outdoor photography will be allowed for a $250 permit fee that does not include the entrance. I always recommend checking their current rules and pricing.
Elfreth’s Alley Proposal
With it’s beautiful cobblestone streets and historic buildings, Elfreth’s Alley is a wonderful place to propose in Philadelphia. There can be a lot of foot traffic because it’s a popular tourist location, so consider an early morning or evening proposal.
Addison Street Proposal
Addison Street is so pretty, with its tree-lined streets and twinkling lights. It’s romantic during the day and the nigh,t and what a perfect Holiday season proposal this makes! It’s of course a public street so there are occasionally cars or people walking but the sparkle is worth it.
Penn Treaty Park Proposal
This newly revamped park has views of Benjamin Franklin Bridge and makes for a stunning backdrop for your Philadelphia proposal. There is plenty of room for a beautiful proposal overlooking the water.
Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center Garden Proposal
If you are looking for a completely private proposal location in Philadelphia with beautiful gardens I recommend a Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center Garden Proposal. There are limited days you can do proposals and there is a fee. Reach out to the gardens by clicking here. This is perfect for an intimate moment for the two of you.
Philadelphia Museum of Art Proposal
There are so many options in one area around the Philadelphia Museum of Art for a proposal. Outdoors doesn’t require a permit fee, but for photography indoors, there is a fee of $2500.00 currently, but it’s important to reach out for current rules and rates.
The Rocky Steps at The Philadelphia Museum of Art
We all know the Rocky Steps and how great this view is. You will definitely get a lot of attention when you propose here but isn’t that fun and so Philly!
